The only six travel hacks you really need

Do we all need special hacks to make traveling easier? We all need them. Although travel is very exciting and exciting, but on the other hand it can be very exhausting. Besides being exhausting and tiring, there are many other things that are invisible that can happen in the worst time. So, in this article, I'd like to say a few hacks that will save you from all the troubles associated with traveling.

    1. The first thing traveling web sites can be quite stunning at times. What many do not realize they are watching your visit to the website, and every time you pay for a visit, the price increases. Why are they doing such things? Well, the first thing you want to scare is to buy a ticket before you change your mind. You think the price of the ticket is rising, so you buy a ticket. The path you should use is to allow private browsing, so your visits are not tracked.

    2. An amazing way to keep your clothes in fresh light and reduce the static amount in your clothing is by putting the tumble dryers on a line suit. This absorbs any additional moisture in your products or clothing. You will love the fresh smell when wearing your clothes.

    3. You do not have enough space in your trunk, it may be a cause for anxiety. Where do you fit the latest dresses you have to take? It's a dilemma, but I have a solution for that. Instead of removing your clothes, it is best to throw them off. You can thank us later.

    4. I know how uncomfortable it is when your chargers and data cables are mixed in your luggage. Here's an easy way to keep them up, packing the data cable and chargers in the old sunglasses case so they will not mix in your luggage.

    5. Here is another travel hook, it might sound strange, but it helps to save space. Have socks and underwear in boots. I know it's weird, but this is one of those travel hacks that travel experts also use.

    6. We all know about the magic hair clips that have disappeared. These are the easiest things to lose. Although this hack does not help when saving space, it can help you lose your clips. Take a make-up bag and store clips in them so you never lose them.

    Flight travel with Airsoft guns

As flight regulations and laws are becoming more restrictive, Airsoft fans may get some trouble if they are not well informed when arriving at the airport. Taking airsoft shotguns without preparation seems to be a good way to get into the shooting situation by the Air Marshal. To avoid flight practitioners from the (real) line of fire, it is important to be familiar with all applicable laws and regulations on air transport.

There are two major organizations or government bodies that set flight rules – TSA and FAA. TSA or traffic administration are security officers, inspectors, directors, air soldiers and managers who protect national transport systems so you and your family can travel safely. They're guys at metal detectors and airport scanners who challenge you to take off your shoes and check for weapons and bombs. These are also boys who will take you down if they find a weapon in your carry-on.

The most important thing to know when traveling by plane is that all weapons are treated equally – airsoft guns, real weapons, and even paintball guns are treated with the same degree of seriousness and certainty.

The current rules state that all airborne booms (including all airsoft equipment) can be taken on board an aircraft but must be packed in the luggage compartment. This means that you do not have any weapons, airsoft pellets, cans or anything else in your hand luggage. Keeping these items in the luggage you intend to carry on and having access throughout the flight will result in some unpleasant facial times with TSA agents. You do not have to mention the risk that you miss your flight!

It is also necessary to declare a weapon (airsoft or otherwise) on the ticket counter because any undeclared weapons in the luggage are considered a threat and can cause damage to the luggage or, in the worst case, to be arrested. Saved weapons that will be shipped in checked baggage will be identified by specific labels on the bag or briefcase.

In addition, dismantling pumps and spring airsoft guns must be dismantled before packing in the luggage compartment and all CO2 containers must be emptied and disconnected from the gun. To check if your weapon is on board, check out the TSA website and be sure to talk to the carrier as each airline has its own rules.

Guide to the purchase and use of travel insurance

    Is travel insurance really necessary?

Travel is already expensive, is not it? The cost of flights, cruises, hotels, land transport, food and activities and entertainment are already high enough. I do not know about you, but I work hard on my money, and when I travel I want to keep as much money as possible in my pocket. Is travel insurance a necessity or luxury? Why do not you leave a few horns here and there. Why buy something if it is not really needed?

My personal solution is, of course, that I am not alone wealthy and can not resist possible financial losses that could arise if I need medical care when traveling. Not participating in independent wealth also means that I am in the market for adequate but cheap travel insurance. I suspect you are in the same position, so you also need cheap travel insurance. If you are still unsure about this, consider the following.

Did you know that if you are sick or injured when traveling abroad, your health plan may not cover all the expenses you incur? If the cost of treatment is higher than the maximum amount of your treatment plan, you will be responsible for this difference if you have not already obtained travel insurance. You can not even be admitted to a hospital in some countries without proof that you have health or health insurance.

This applies to all, regardless of age or length of stay abroad. Suppose you are ill only a few hours after arriving at your destination. Or assume you're going to another country and you're injured in a traffic accident. Or, suppose one of your children is part of a group that makes a class visit abroad, food poisoning, and requires hospitalization. In all cases, without adequate travel health insurance, you will be responsible for costs beyond the limits of your existing health plan.

Therefore, before you go abroad, you have to make sure that you are adequately covered by travel medical insurance that will not break your budget. You should check that you have adequate coverage through your health plan, employee benefits, or even credit card. If the coverage is sufficient for your needs, you can enjoy a trip without unnecessary travel insurance costs. However, if you are not sure that you are covered or if your coverage is insufficient or does not exist, then the next step should be to explore and purchase the travel insurance you need.

When I bought my first ticket to China a few years ago, it cost around $ 2,000, and my travel insurance cost me over $ 500 because I did not sell cheap travel insurance online.

A few years later, a little older and wiser, and my travel insurance for another trip to China cost me a lot less – about $ 300 for roughly the same coverage. Difference? Before purchasing travel insurance for the second trip I bought online and got the coverage I needed at the right price. If I bought my travel insurance for this last trip from my travel agent, it would cost me about $ 600 a trip, and my tickets are only $ 1,500! Not exactly the clever way to go.

So how much will it cost you? There is not enough money for you if you are ill or injured abroad and you have no travel insurance! This is an obvious answer to this question.

In fact, how much travel insurance will depend on your age and the type of cover you choose. Basic principles cost up to $ 5.50 for $ 1000. On the other hand, you can expect that full coverage will cost you between 7 and 10% of the cost of your trip, depending on your age. The older you are, the more you pay. It does not matter what the cost of a policy is, but it is certainly much less than the cost of medical evacuation!

The good news is that you can easily, conveniently and quickly search for and search for excellent but cheap travel insurance online and reduce the costs of an informed purchase. It's a lot better than what you offered at a travel agency because you can choose from hundreds of travel companies and politicians and save you a lot of money. One of the places you can start looking for is at Travel Insurance Central, []

What to consider when purchasing travel insurance

To help with your research, here are a few suggestions for buying.

    1. Consider the worst case scenario. If you can deal with the worst case scenario, you may not need travel insurance or maybe you do not need a comprehensive policy.

    2. Make sure that the principles you are considering provide sufficient health / dental coverage, including medical evacuation coverage only if you need medical care at the place where the best treatment is below standards, which you are used to in your country. This can happen if you are ill in a developing country or even on a cruise ship.

    3. Review existing insurance policies for potential coverage. It makes no sense to pay more for what you already have in the house or in rental policy, such as theft and loss of coverage.

    4. If you are a frequent traveler, you should consider annual travel insurance. Sometimes they are called travel insurance for multiple trips. Whatever the name, these principles can be cheaply compared to one-time travel insurance policies.

    5. Know what you are buying so read the fine print. Make sure you understand what a company sees as a legitimate reason for cancellation or interruption. If the list is too restrictive, you might want to consider other policies.

    6. Do not limit yourself to the purchase only from your travel agent. Probably will only have one product company available and it is here for your convenience, but this comfort can be quite expensive!

    7. Ask a lot of questions about coverage. Play the game "What if". Ask for a clear explanation of the terminology. Make sure you and the travel insurance company speak the same language.

    8. Do not purchase insurance via your carrier. If bankruptcy occurs, what will your insurance be?

Once you have purchased your travel insurance

Keep in mind that your travel insurance covers certain specific dates, so do not forget your trip early or extend your trip without changing your travel insurance policy. Of course, it could make you more, but it's cheaper than if you'd better try to find it without cover.

It is also almost natural that travel insurance should be brought to you when traveling abroad. You can not consult this policy if you are sitting at your desk at home. You should also bring your free help number and other travel insurance contact information wherever you are. You have nothing good if you are bad or injured and the necessary information about politics will be sitting in your hotel room. It is also good to bring with you your regular medical coverage and information.

I hope these tips will help you with the best travel insurance for you. Then take your trip in peace that comes from being aware that you are insured by the right travel insurance company at the right price. Bon cruise

Order your way to Indy 500

Indy 500 is a prestigious race that runs every Memorial Day weekend at Speedway Indiana. Vehicles have sometimes changed since the first race in 1911, but the biggest show in the races still brings people from far and wide to the present day 2.5.

They come at the roar of the engines, the excitement of the race, the atmosphere and the history of the event, and come in the ravens because the racing track can have up to 300,000 people.

If you live near Indiana, it's easy every year, but if you do not know why would you fly commercially if you could easily rent a plane to get in style? It's cheaper than you can realize, and saves all the trouble with flying commercials such as long security lines and cramped seating. Instead, sit back, relax and enjoy the entire room of your head, shoulders, elbows and legs that you get when you cool your party on your way to Indiana.

It's not easy to win the Indy 500, which starts eleven rows in three to create 33 auto fields. The three drivers hold the title of the most winners at the Indy with four seconds. These are AJ Foyt, Al Unser and Rick Mears. Rick Mears also holds the record, this time for the most pole positions achieved with the 6th Big Player Roger Penske is the most successful at the Indy, with 16 victories and 17oles for his driver.

It's also not easy to get in on a commercial flight, not if you love peace and simplicity. The only thing common flights and Indy 500 in common is milk. You can get milk on the plane and if you win on Indy, you will get a bottle of milk in the winner circle. This tradition began in 1933 when the driver asked for milk after winning the race. The CEO in the dairy has seen the marketing edge and well, the rest is history. If you win, you have the choice of the whole, 2% or the milk you want to see.

Another Indy promises to be an exciting race, just like before. Will the spine win? Will anyone come from behind? Will you be there to witness?

The best way to set up Forex charts

How To Set Up Forex Charts? The best way to set up Forex charts is to decide which time frame to trade. Suppose you decide to trade five-minute charts. This is the timeframe you use to enter and close trades. But before you enter this chart, it's always a good strategy to first confirm the trend for 15-minute charts and 30-minute charts.

Let me explain. Suppose you live in London. This summer you will go to Switzerland in Geneva for one week with your family. How do you plan your trip? First you will go from London to Geneva. You could ride through the air, you could go through the canal by ferry and take the train. Suppose you decide to go by car.

So, you first take a general map of Europe and start planning your journey. First London, then Dover, then Calais, then Paris and so on until you get to Geneva. This map will show you the best route from city to city. At this stage of the journey you do not have to know about small details in any city.

Always confirm the trend in a longer time frame, such as hourly charts or daily maps earlier, to open a 15-minute chart or a 5-minute chart. Once you get to Geneva, you will need a detailed map of the city as a tourist, where are the best hotels to stay, what are the best places to visit where you should go and where you should stay stiff.

This is like opening a 15-minute chart or 5 minute chart to decide on the exact details of your store. So, in short, you should always move from the upper time frame to confirm the trend, then move to a smaller time graph, where you again confirm the trend eventually the actual graph you use to enter and exit the stores.

Always run from a larger image and then move down to a smaller frame. A good business system always uses higher time patterns to detect the trend, then confirms that in smaller time schedules and when all charts confirm the same trend, it enters the store within a shorter time frame.

So you can confirm the trend on the hourly chart, then confirm that the graph is 15 minutes and finally you use a graph of 5 minutes for entry and exit of the shops. Good luck!

Snakes and skins – an overnight trip to Marrakech

According to ecologists, aircraft are the main factor in destroying our planet. Emissions from aircraft represent up to 3% of all carbon emissions in our atmosphere and we all know what it does. For this reason, I have decided that the trip to Morocco from Madrid will take place on the ground. Oh, and I'm afraid to fly!

Taking the litter was the reason for my unusually relaxed stance before I embarked on this journey. I reached for my trusted military backup package and went to Madrid Estacion del Sur to feel calm and morally proud.

The bus should take me from Madrid to Algeciras at the southern tip of Spain, a cheap night trip that took me to Algeciras Harbor early in the morning just before the first ferry to Tangier in northern Morocco. Traveling overnight by bus is never the happiest experience of life, but my side by side helped me along this path. The crowded bus of Moroccan emigrants watched how this unforgettable young Englishman drank slowly through the darkness of Andalucía and further into the Gibraltar Strait.

The ferry, as well as the bus, was quietly inexpensive (yet another environmentally friendly travel approval). My lack of sleep on the bus meant I spent a ferry on a comfortably placed restaurant sofa, but before I dropped, I noticed that the ferry was almost empty.

Access to Morocco started when we left Algeciras, because it is really very close, but my first glance at Tangiers was still pleasant, because the old towns that straddled the steep streets were clear. I did not stay in Tangiers, but it was good to see the old headquarters of freedom and surplus from afar. Upon arrival in Tangier, I was instantly set up by endless, willing taxi drivers who had everything to do for a little. The first trip deal is always the best because your energy is at its peak and it's still fun! I agreed with the most durable trade fair and through the exchange office we made five minutes to the train station.

Tangiers Railway Station was perfectly clean and staff very friendly and efficient. I bought a ticket to Marrakech in a second class carriage that was supposed to be more than acceptable. The train needed only one change in Sidi Kac, but it was a long way to go. The journey was far from perfect because I was a major train show for a stream of locals who are passing my carriage. Those who have a basic knowledge of English have all stopped to ask me about my life and those who have been without giggles and offering different forms of food and sweets. The landscape is interesting without being excellent on the way to Marrakech, but the Atlas Mountains are growing as Marrakech approaches and you are more than enough to occupy your eyes.

I arrived in Marrakech at sunset and went to the cheap hotel I booked in advance. I resigned from my stay in the Order because I offered him a lot of a friend who works in a travel agency, but it seems to be a great experience and a good place to meet other travelers. They are also a good choice for budget travelers. My hotel is located in the art deco Guéliz district built by French in the 1930s. A good hotel was occupied by groups of French weekends and I must admit quietly that it only added to the experience.
My first day in Marrakech was naturally dedicated to Souk exploration inside the medina. Of all the adjectives that could be used to describe souk, I think the eclectic is the most appropriate. In five minutes I bought a nougat, a scarf, a bag and a tea. I did not want any of them, but I was easily drawn into the charm and utter professionalism of vending machine owners. I quickly sighed and spent the whole day aimlessly to walk through the innumerable colors, scents and sounds that made souk.

I was especially pleased to invite you to watch the endless stands for free! Love touched me frankly! Given that logic is far from here, it is logical, as the distribution and the experienced customer, or even the locals, must be fun to watch how many tourists go through the same herb standing every hour for the tenth. Each part of the soup is designed for a particular product and it makes life easier when looking for a leather bunny. The problem was the overwhelming choice and carefully designed trading techniques I have met in this area. Then I turned away and shone with pride when I defeated them in their own game. The owner of the stand undoubtedly celebrated the extreme profit he had just made with the sand of tea and cats at the nearest European girl burned with the sun.

When the sun disappeared behind the Atlas Mountains, I went to Jamaa el Fna's main square in the Marrakech Medina. It was here that I had dinner, as hundreds of food stalls were gathered in the square as the sun fell. The next barter was followed and I was taken by a boy who dreams of every English accent under the sun to laugh with stitches. His dining stand offered a standard show of tagin and couscous, and I decided to try both. Dinner was enormously inexpensive, and these food stalls remain the main source of refreshment during their stay. My dinner mail was provided with endless scams that wandered Jemaa el Fna with her snakes, monkeys, and complicated stories about Moroccan legends. I hugged the snakes but was enchanted by the magical show narrated by the old man clearly under the influence of something other than mint tea. At the end of the night, I joined the French residents of my hotel in a local disco and watched with great eyes as the Moroccan pop music allowed people to move in a way that had never moved before.

The next day, I felt a little worse when I got dressed, joined the group to explore the High Atlas, where we could visit several Berber villages and testify about the demonstrations of their habits. One such village was … and here it was a wonderful experience to see culture unprecedented by the rapid modernization that occurred on the plains. The return journey passed through the Ourika Valley, which was a vision. The Emerald Green Stream was flooded with rocks of olive trees and random villages, seemingly immune to the dangers of tourism. One such village was Moulay Brahim, who is mostly frequented by Moroccan people seeking comfort from the sanctuary by anyone other than Moulay Brahim, who allegedly helps women's fertility problems. The men's sanctuary was closed for the winter!

I spent the night in Jemaa el Fna again, but this time was enchanted by a stand named "Lovely Jubbly." Brilliant!

My last day was spent again in Medina where she explored the sights she had to offer. I spent all day in February and found so much refreshments in the many tea rooms that are scattered around the city. This is a carefree male gossip and a perfect platform that makes your heart ugly. The Koutoubia mosque dominates the Medina panorama due to the fact that no building can be higher. It acts as a convenient advantage for inevitable moments of confusion. It is worth mentioning my walk around the medina, which concerns the neighborhood of dyes and tanneries. Despite the sharp smells, these are great examples of traditions that have not been lost to industries, and the world of leather and textiles is all the better. Watch out for photography, as this is the basis of the local argument when you are asked to pay for the pleasure of going to a public place. Kasbah and Medersa Ben Youssef were an interesting oasis of peace, where the sense of Islamic intellectualism and peace is stunning. After I walked over these, and then I lost myself, I returned to the hotel to finish my night-time visit with a French dance.

I returned to Madrid as I arrived with a short stop in Gibraltar, another reference to the comfort of traveling on the ground. Without atmospheric pollution, I enjoyed my short stay in Marrakech and saw more than I could imagine in the short time I had at my disposal.

Marrakech is a city of chaos and perfect tranquility. This paradox is the key to its success. The city contains inhabitants of obvious kindness, which are abundant for extra buck. They will disappoint you, but they will also fascinate you. Although she is not clearly beautiful, it is the atmosphere and people who want to visit her. It remains a liberal city that is kept under control by Islamic demands that will not affect most tourists. Which is more easily accessible by country for those of us in Europe. An option you should seriously consider on the road.

Ultimate Travel Guide for First Passengers

Just as today's air traffic has become, there are still many people around the world who have not been flying before. People who turn around on the road may seem strange, but that is a fact that we all have to accept. But if you are one of those people who have not had the chance to travel by plane, do not move – there is nothing to be embarrassed that you are not alone. And if you're going to get out and experience air travel, then this article is the only thing you need to read to have the time of your life!

    1. Research before the trip:
Because you will not have much experience with your travels, make sure you do a lot of research. Ask your friends about their travel experiences, browse the internet and try to get good travel agencies. Because travel is much larger than you think, and there are many small details to consider before traveling.

    2. Create budget:
This is literally the most important thing you need to do to make your trip a success. While setting the amount of money you are willing to spend on your trip or holiday, make sure that the load you are assigning contains a large amount of cache. This means you should consider extraordinary events when planning your budget and also calculate the maximum you are willing to spend on something. This ensures that you end up spending less than your expectations.

    3. Get Vaccination:
Many people are usually wearing their eyes while traveling around the world, but it is also important that you do the same for national voyages. This prevents unwanted and unnecessary illness when traveling. Think about it and save your disease problems by taking care of your vaccinations.

    4. Avoid Disease Movement:
If you are someone who has previously been traveling on road accidents or other such problems, it is very likely that you will be affected when traveling by air. So as a precautionary measure, make sure you are using anti-label products before starting the journey to avoid discomfort.

    5. Keep important things useful:
All things like your passport and ticket will be required more often, and you will have to leave them where you can easily get away and where they will not be lost. Also, make sure you have some extra money with you (hold them in your socks). Just in case you lose your stuff, you will not have the problem to travel around.

Traveling can be difficult for even the smartest passengers, and if you're the first person to travel, you probably do not know what you're thinking about. So remember the things mentioned above and you will enjoy your traveling experience. Make your first time the best!

Do you think newspapers are yesterday's news? Think again

Mark Twain had this famous answer when he read about his "death" in the papers:

"The news of my death is greatly exaggerated."

Now the tables turned. The death of newspapers is reported when millions of people around the world are still reading daily news. Such irony. Let's say the newspaper is done, it's the ultimate fake news.

The only newspaper report is still one of the strongest driving forces of opinion. More powerful than trending Twitter, viral post on Facebook or top-of-the-line Instagram hashtag. Just ask unlucky holiday owners around Playa Del Carmen and a popular resort on the northeastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, otherwise known on the Mexican Riviera.

In February 2018, just weeks after the peak of the tourist season, they were preparing to welcome thousands of holidaymakers who long to escape a long, hard winter. The hordes of the sun seekers included my wife and myself. We were booked to spend a week at the end of March in our favorite winter resort: Iberostar Grand Paraiso, about thirty minutes by car from Playa Del Carmen.

The shocking news was that the Playa Del Carmen cruise ferry was "bombed" on February 22, 2018. The following story supported by the video ( was even more disturbing. About twenty-five people wounded! The US Embassy warns passengers to stay away from ferries and parts of the Caribbean!

Two weeks later, another "bomb" appeared on another ferry. It was removed without twisting. On March 21, the day we left for a holiday, the US embassy removed the warning.

So what do you think happened? Seeking people looking for the sun, news? Have the hotels made their usual flourishes? Based on its findings, based on a small sample size, the answer would be clear not.

The bad news, once she was released, revealed everything. It could not be turned – nothing more than if you could put the toothpaste back into the tube.

Evidence from the report was easy to find from the moment we arrived at the Customs at Cancun Airport (1969002). When we arrived at our resort, practically nothing was the same as usual: Exhibit B, several of our favorite restaurants were closed for most of our stay (Exhibit C) and I could get some golf tee time I wanted, and in fact I had to change my original tee time because there were no other players in this slot D)

Need More? When playing the second round of golf with one other player (Exhibit E), we accepted a single player (Exhibit F) that was behind us one hole. He turned out to be a friendly man from Mexico City who rents a flat in Playa Del Carmen. "At this point, he is normally fully booked," he told us. "This year, nothing." (Appendix G)

All due to a single news. Remember, next time someone tells you that the news is yesterday's news.

Where to go – Choosing the right place

General Considerations for Finding a Place for a Trip

The first thing you ask yourself, exactly what are you looking for? Then consider what places you are in your reach, practically speaking. Make sure the activity you are thinking is allowed in the place where you are going. The last and perhaps the most important thing is to consider what you can do.

You can start looking for these things.

    What are you looking for?

Want to add some contact with nature into your everyday life? Consider your local city parks or land parcels. Even private land, if the owner is accessible, such as farm edges, woods or other such unspoilt areas, can offer a quiet and interesting place to visit with wild things. Take a look at your city and local library where you can find information about parks and outdoor recreation areas, or just ask your neighbors. And do not forget your own court. There may be more fascinating birds, insects and plants than you think. You never know until you get there and just open your eyes and ears for a while.

Do you want to find the true wilderness area that you can visit once in a while and get to know it well? Take a look at the website of your state about national and national parks, national forests and other large outdoor recreational areas within the tourism industry. Read books and articles about your area before your first visit to know what to expect. Explore roads and parking locations to have a good idea of how long it will take before you get there.

Are you planning a business trip or vacation in an unknown location and hoping to explore her natural history firsthand? Now you have some research! Check out the tourist sites web in the area you plan to visit. Be sure to check out the printable manuals for plants and wildlife in the area. Consider several alternatives if you find out when your first choice does not work. (I never got out of Palermo when I visited Sicily when a planned trip to Mount Aetna was canceled due to an eruption!)

Are you planning a hike where the main destination is hiking? Good for you! You will want to carefully consider and find out as much as you can before leaving. Get information from books and websites. Then you get a little more. Do not forget to filter information properly: If someone has something to sell, it may sound more attractive and more accessible than it really is. Find out if you need reservations for campsites, canoe rentals, and more.

    Where to Get There

Read these maps carefully! Sixty kilometers along the road can look like an hour's drive, but not if it's unpaved logging over rough ground. You do not want to get caught in wildlife unprepared and unable to get out before people start looking after you.

If you plan to visit this area repeatedly, have enough time to get to know the place. Try some alternative routes and find the best. Try out several different access points – parking, trail heads, etc. – before choosing which of them will be your "place". You will come back many times, so do not be discouraged if you find that your first choice is not as good as you had hoped for.

If you are going to visit once in a lifetime, you may want to hire a guide. Yes, it is a cargo and a little intrusion, but it's better than getting into trouble. When you turn to a tour guide, make sure they understand your goals – whether you want to race to the top of the mountain or just slowly and watch the birds – and give them a fair appreciation of your abilities. If they take you as part of a group, make sure that a rigid tour plan does not mean your holiday for you.

    Is this possible?

Find out what you intend to do and whether it can be banned or restricted. Many parks do not allow camping. Fishing is prohibited or restricted in many lakes and rivers. (Known is a beautiful pond in the state park, where children can only fish.)

Are you going to bring your dog on a trip? Not all parks allow dogs and most of them require the dog to be a leash. There are also limitations for road boats, snowmobiles, and even off-road bikes. Make sure that where you plan to go allows what you intend to do.

Can you take it? Do you think you can walk twelve miles a day? Do not plan for more than seven kilometers in an unknown country.

Carefully read the route descriptions and the degree of difficulty before you decide what you can do. If it says "robust," it means you do not plan to set up some country speed records.

Keep in mind that most tourist literature is written by people with extensive tourism experiences and above average physical status. If you are a potato maker who hopes to become a great outdoorsman, do not plan to do the same hike that a great outdoorsman calls "challenging."

Beware of the contour lines you see on most route maps. They tell you how general it is to push the way. A one mile long trail, which rises 500 feet, is a walk through the park. One mile trail, which rises to 2,000 feet, can be insurmountable for the average sedentary person.

Again, make sure your self-esteem is honest. You could tell a great adventure story at home, but I can not fool the elements. When you go on a trail, no amount of bravado can compensate for the lack of physical fitness.

Do not miss the place because it's popular. It is true that crowds are conducting a sense of peace and loneliness, and wildlife is avoiding contact with humans. But if you go to the right time, you can find something close to the wilderness, even in a place that is usually overcrowded. Most people are most active late in the day and most animals are most active at dusk and dawn. This explains: wherever you go, try to go to dawn.

If you are lucky to have a nearby state or national park, it's probably your best choice. Otherwise, for frequent quick visits, do not miss your city parks and private property.

Before hiking on a private plot you can imagine the owner. Until they know who you are and what you are doing, most people are happy to allow hikers to use their forests and fields. Of course, some landowners have bad experiences, and you must certainly respect their rights to protect their property from damage and their livestock from injury and harassment. Keep in mind that many landowners have entered into agreements with hunting clubs, so they should not be able to land on their land during the hunt.

When planning trips to an unknown area, make sure you have done your research forward. Again, the state and national parks are probably your best choices. Not only are they most likely to offer good tourist experience but are also best documented. You will not be able to find a source on the site that tells you what you can expect at Jones Forty-Four, but there's plenty of information about public parks. On the other hand, you will find lots of information about commercial holiday areas, but everyone has a financial interest in visiting you. Public parks are likely to have simple and truthful information.

    • Your local library. Check out the books of your chosen destination. If you are planning a trip to an area you are not familiar with, look for local outdoor magazines.
    • Google. Enter the name of the city or state and the word "hiking" and you will find an inexhaustible link of information that you can use.
    • The American Tourist Society ( Find their "Alliance of Infant Organizations" for affiliated organizations in your area.
    • National Park Service (
    • USDA Forest Service ( Another extremely rich resource, broken down by region of the United States.
